Job Description:

KTOO Public Media is seeking a Video Operations & Production Technician to join our team.  This full-time, exempt position is based in Juneau, Alaska.

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting abilities, strong organizational and communication skills, and a desire to learn new things.  Experience in areas like broadcast traffic/automation software (ProTrack, Harmonic), video editing, IP networking and digital video facilities maintenance is a plus, but we are willing to train.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily broadcast traffic and automation
  • Manages recorded media and interstitial content
  • Oversees media inventory and remote production kits
  • Monitors broadcast signals
  • Assists with video productions
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

Background and skills:

  • Prior relevant experience preferred
  • Must be willing to relocate to Juneau

This position reports to the Director of Visual Content and Operations.

Compensation:  Annual salary between $55,590 to $60,860, depending upon experience, plus competitive benefits including health insurance, retirement, and generous paid leave and holidays.
