The Newshour

I have watched (and supported) our local public TV channel (Ch. 9 KQED) here in the SF Bay Area for nearly 50 years. Judy Woodruff has had a long and distinguished career. So it pains me to urge you to see her into retirement. She has lost her edge; her engagement with others is no longer crisp and smart as it should be. She is simply too old to do the job effectively. I am 82 so I think I know a little about age. With all due respect, please encourage her to turn the hosting of the nightly show over to a younger person--and there are a great many of those who appear nightly with her who could succeed in that position--perhaps co-hosting with Hari Shrinivasan? He is outstanding in his hosting of the weekend program. Thank you
