PBS news hour

Anna Nawaz interviewed Rochelle Walensky of the CDC and didn’t ask the only question that matters, “How can a political appointee be an effective head of the CDC?” Michael Lewis made a convincing case in his book, Premonition, that only independent civil servants are effective in the public health arena. If Narwaz read Premonition before interviewing Wallensky, shame for not asking the tough question. If she hadn’t read the book, shame on PBS for not helping her be prepared. Hoping for a response.
