Job Description:

Alabama Public Television (APT) is seeking a full-time Data Entry Specialist to support its Early Childhood Education Department (ECE) at our Birmingham office. The Data Entry Specialist will be an integral member of the Education team by assisting staff with administrative tasks.


  • Create all purchase requisitions and complete all material receipts for the ECE Department
  • Schedule and update trainings and events calendar
  • Create Zoom and Survey Monkey links for online trainings
  • Monitor the ECE email account
  • Set up all DHR trainings in the DHR Professional Development Registry (PDR) and close out the PDR when training is over
  • Collect closeout paperwork from ECE trainers and training partners and log data
  • File all training paperwork


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years administrative support experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written communication skills

Starting salary commensurate with experience. A benefits package is also provided. This position is funded through a contract and contingent upon receipt of funding once the contract expires. NO PHONE CALLS/FAXES. APT is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
