Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for troubleshooting IP Network and Ethernet connectivity, including TCP/IP, multicasting, VPNs and packet routing.
- Maintains linear and non-linear content storage, transcoding and OTT delivery systems.
- Enables high availability of commonly used IP, SD/HD/UHD SDI digital video and digital audio systems.
- Monitors Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Post Production video and audio editing systems, and Motion Graphics systems.
- Demonstrates Strong Monitoring & Control system support and troubleshooting to maintain a stable, reliable on-air services.
- Responsible for ensuring the virtualization and scale-out NAS file systems, configuration, and permissions are kept up to date.
- Engages University team in Maintaining Active Directories.
- Provide support and resolutions to production applications such as the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and DaVinci Resolve.
- Helps create clear SOPs, technical reference documents and drawings for operations and support users.
- Works closely with technical management and Internal Departments for optimum hardware/software selection, configuration and support.
- Responsible for the configuration of Windows, Mac, and Linux PC workstation/server operating systems and provide hardware component troubleshooting.
- Help to manage multi-channel automation systems, radio and television playback servers, support file-based workflows, and troubleshooting issues.
- Incumbent assists in maintaining production systems including virtual set calibration and troubleshooting and will be required to learn camera motion capture devices and 3D rendering software.
- Provide support and IT resolutions to broadcast scheduling software, broadcast automation software and other software used by AZPM team members.
- Installs, configures and performs routine maintenance on systems hardware and software including servers and operating systems. Creates and maintains user accounts.
- Installs, configures and maintains workstation hardware, software and peripherals. Evaluates workstation support needs; plans and implements maintenance, upgrades and training programs. Resolves hardware/software problems.
- Implements and monitors computer security and quality assurance procedures and maintains associated required documentation.
- Participates in research of current and emerging computing technologies.

- Ability to use SD/HD SDI waveform monitors to evaluate and interpret video and audio quality.
- Ability to use SD/HD SDI routing switchers and patch panels to connect SD/HD SDI sources to destinations.
- Ability to install and configure video/audio equipment.
- Ability to fabricate custom video/audio and Ethernet copper cable assemblies.
- Ability to perform routine, regular systems checks to document any anomalies.
- Working knowledge of video and audio encoding compression standards.
- Working knowledge of MPEG-4 encoders, MPEG Transport Stream analyzers and satellite transmission equipment.
- Working knowledge of asset management systems and automated workflows.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with Ethernet packet analysis and/or Network performance management tools such as Wireshark, NetScout, InfoBlox, and LogicMonitor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Must be able to work at any time in a 24 X 7 broadcast environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Hands-on experience working in a broadcast and/or post-production environment.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting network storage systems, switches, and routers.
- Experience in building, setting up, and configuring Windows, Mac, and Linux servers and/or workstations (experience with JAMF/JSS is a plus).
- Familiarity with radio or television traffic and automation systems such as Protrack, RCS, or Crispin.
