The General Assignment Reporter will work with the newscast unit to turn around daily news stories for radio and digital audiences. The right candidate can craft a good pitch and work quickly to report out the story. Breaking news will be a key part of the job, so prepare to think on your feet. This is a collaborative role: you’ll work with other reporters and producers, as well as our anchors and an executive producer to help tell stories across more than 15 newscasts a day. You’ll also have to be nimble enough to jump from story to story – a typical day may include covering a press conference with the mayor, following up on a major crime story, or reporting on oil and gas prices.
This position is open to all experience levels.
Radio reporting and production skills are preferred, but not required. Spanish language familiarity a plus.
