Job Description:

The Centennial Marketing Campaign Director develops and fulfills Northwest Public Broadcasting’s (NWPB) external marketing strategy to address pre-, during and post-centennial opportunities to expand NWPB’s audience, including donors, members and partners in collaboration with the NWPB fundraising team. 

The campaign planning will include engaging members across NWPB’s teams to create a comprehensive strategy that engages staff across departments. The campaign plan should include strategies and metrics for audience engagement as well as ways to promote the centennial in on-air segments/interstitials. The campaign plan will address: branding, positioning, messaging and image strategies, provide strategic support for external communications and develop audience relations projects and initiatives as required. The plan may also address: media relations, events and appearances, centennial specific website content development and management, social media development and management, electronic newsletters, press releases and Centennial reports to key stakeholders. 

This position will help build weekly audience for on-air and online, deepen engagement with existing and new audiences, donors and key stakeholders, and provide a comprehensive marketing plan to help reach organizations objectives.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field AND three (3) years of professional level experience in marketing, promotional or related work. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of AP style, and the rules of English grammar and usage.

  • Experience with MS Office. Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. 

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, AfterEffects/Premiere, etc.).
