Under general supervision assists transmitter supervisors in the operation of multiple digital broadcast transmitter installations. Provides relief coverage for transmitter supervisors.
Performs routine and emergency maintenance on very complex high power broadcast transmitters. Performs routine and emergency maintenance on very complex video and audio processing, monitoring, remote control, and associated equipment. Prepares monthly ETV Transmitter Reports. Checks broadcast signals and operation for compliance with FCC and FAA rules and regulations.
Keeps required records and files for compliance with FCC and FAA rules and regulation. Orders parts, supplies, and tools as required for transmitters, associated equipment and building. Maintains building and grounds. Performs general inspection of transmitting tower, guy lines, and guy anchors.
Assists with management and maintenance of Emergency Communication Systems. Attends meetings and other events/functions as SCETV representative. Performs related tasks as assigned by Transmitter Operations Manager and V.P. Engineering.
