JOB PURPOSE:
JOB DUTIES:
As assigned, produce, write, and edit from conception video features for use within a variety of ETV major project initiatives. Research and prepare for assigned projects. This includes preparing content outlines, and scripts, conducting location scouts, and identifying specific equipment needs based on both content acquisition and environment. ETV, FCC, and industry standards.
Responsible for capturing high-quality audio recordings during studio and field productions, contributing to the overall success of multimedia projects. The MMS will work closely with the production crew to ensure clear and crisp audio for various studio and on-location shoots.
Executes successful postproduction of projects. Edit, color grade, adding sound design of projects using various edit systems to complete assigned content segments or programs. Have a working knowledge of edit software for Adobe Premier and/or Davinci Resolve
Confers with Producers/Directors, Instructional Specialists, and Engineers to determine specific location or production requirements. Scout locations to determine production needs.
Work with the Director of News and Public Affairs to facilitate various streaming events as for the State Legislature as well as other state agencies. These duties would include set-up/strike of television equipment. May include the running camera. This responsibility is from January - May.
Maintains current knowledge of media technologies and trends using available training resources. Advises department director and communicates across departments at SCETV on appropriate technologies, best practices, workflows, and encoding specifications for creating and delivering outstanding media content to existing and emerging web and broadcast environments. Includes other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and five (5) years' experience in journalism, media arts, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years of related experience or an associate degree in media production and Three (3) years of related experience or the equivalent of education, training, and experience. Must have valid Driver's License
