About Our Agency:
South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state's public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences, and strengthens communities while working to create a stronger, more connected, and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings. 

JOB PURPOSE 
Produces nightly billboards and collects information and materials for daily editing sessions. Edits promotional material.  Deadline-sensitive production requires a self-starter.

JOB DUTIES
Utilizes various resources and platforms to procure, compile, and edit promos for all externally produced programs. Works closely with the Programming and Traffic teams, as well as the Chief Public Information Officer, to ensure that promotional priorities are met and that each of SCETV’s channels has more than enough promotional content to fill the schedule. Produces and maintains a promo list for each channel, remaining approximately two weeks out for each.

Creates promos from finished or unfinished programs, from concept to execution, that respect the producer, program intent, and copyright limitations. Serves as SCETV’s national promo editor, using Adobe Premiere Pro or other edit systems as needed.

Provides internal customer service, fulfilling special editing requests for specific on-air and online promotion needs.

Contributes to various areas when needed.
 

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma.

Experience in video editing and using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro is required.
