Job Description:

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our team as a Development Associate, Administration & Donor Relations. Reporting to the Managing Director of Development and working closely with the Sr. Director of Major Gifts, the role involves providing administrative support, managing special projects, events, and written communications. Key responsibilities include planning and executing high-quality donor events, managing meetings, travel, and gift orders, as well as maintaining accurate donor records. The position also assists in creating written materials such as invitations and event scripts, manages expense reports and the department calendar, and coordinates with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth event execution. We are looking for a self-starter with strong multitasking, confidentiality, writing, and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, hospitality, or a related field, along with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in administration and event planning, preferably within a nonprofit or fundraising environment. Strong project management skills are essential, as the candidate must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail, are required. The candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management software such as Excel and Raiser's Edge. Additionally, they must possess the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including colleagues, donors, volunteers, and vendors. A creative thinker with the capacity to generate innovative ideas for donor engagement and event experiences is highly valued. The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization's mission and values and be flexible enough to work evenings and weekends as required for events and donor engagements.

Additional qualifications include strong organizational skills and a high level of professionalism are crucial for success in this role. Knowledge of philanthropic giving and donor relations practices is also preferred.
