The Radio Development and Promotions Coordinator, under general supervision, is
responsible for the development efforts of the radio station. Develops and implements
strategies to obtain underwriting and funding for station operations.

Work hours: Mon-
Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate.

Requires the ability to work remotely
at the University’s discretion.

 

75%: Responsible for all fund-raising initiatives and development activities at Tarleton Radio

50%: Responsible for underwriting sales, including sales in surrounding communities. Manages all underwriting, donations, and invoices through QuickBooks.

10%: Plans and executes on-air fund-raising drives. Works closely with the university development office and Dean's office to obtain data and identify new fundraising opportunities.

10%: Manages radio station membership and donor relations

5%: Identifies grant opportunities and is responsible for grant applications. Uses resources, such as Radio Advertising Bureau, Grant Watch, and Greater Public Media to assist in fundraising goals

15%: Coordinates program communications, marketing and advertising, social media, and newsletter for the radio station

5%: Assists in supervising program staff and works closely with student employees on various projects

5%: Other duties as assigned


Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Two Years of Related Experience
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.


The target base annual salary is $43,620 and may be negotiable based on funding
availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of
this position.
