Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Host daily jazz music program on WESM
  • Track music with promoters and artists and report what gets played to Jazzweek.com  
  • Audition new releases and acquire music for library.
  • Ensure compliance with Music Rights agreements. .
  • Produce timely features and interviews with artists for broadcast and website
  • Assist with station production needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree required.
  • Three years professional on-air radio experience
  • Must have knowledge of Jazz Music
  • Knowledge of ENCO automation is a plus.

 

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Skilled in interviewing and fundraising.
  • Skilled in audio production.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ENCO automation is a plus.
