Accounts Receivable Accountant

Full-Time, Exempt

Reports to: Accounting Supervisor

We’re looking to hire an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance Team. This role will perform complex high-volume accounts receivable transactions.  Ensure accuracy and efficiency in transactions.  Provide general accounting support and reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

In an average week, you can expect to:

  • Perform complex high-volume accounts receivable transactions. 
  • Ensure invoices are generated and billed in a timely manner in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Work closely with other departments to maintain a positive customer experience throughout the billing process to meet deadlines.
  • Reconcile traffic software (Allegiance) to accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains).
  • Prepare audit schedules, as requested.

What success looks like:

  • After 60 days, you will know the revenue cycle, document flow and team member contribution to the process.
  • After 120 days, you will understand customer needs, assist project managers in collections and the monthly close process.

You must have:

  • Knowledge of accounts receivable and basic general accounting principles.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with careful attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding and application of computer technology to efficiently accomplish work, using Microsoft Office programs, and database management software.  Knowledge of and ability to use Great Plains accounting software or a comparable package. 

You should have:

  • College degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
  • Minimum three years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in a nonprofit or media environment.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proof of full dosage of a COVID-19 vaccination is required for all positions that will be working onsite, or may reasonably or occasionally be called to work onsite.
