  • Manage the renewal cycle for WXPN’s leadership annual giving levels and solicit renewals, upgrades, and additional gifts, meeting financial benchmarks. (20%)
  • Oversee a portfolio of major donors. Identify and solicit gifts—both personally and in partnership with the General Manager, Associate General Manager, and Director of Development—related to non-operational fundraising priorities, such as project-specific initiatives or special funds. (20%)
  • Schedule and attend visits (in-person or virtually) with donors and prospects on average of 8 times per month, minimum. Keep up substantial email, phone, or other type of contact as preferred, to maintain positive and open relationships with the portfolio of donors. (15%)
  • Maintain a list of donor prospects, generated from the membership pipeline, prospect research, and other available resources. (5%)

Stewardship and Donor Engagement

  • Oversee the proper stewardship of donors with impact-related reporting, thank you gifts, events, or tailored opportunities as appropriate. (10%)
  • Manage the Reverb Society, WXPN’s stewardship group for Planned Giving donors—maintain robust prospect and invitation practices and organize any online or event-specific opportunities they may receive as benefits. (10%)

Team Collaboration and Supervision

  • Serve as a dashed-line supervisor of the Development Associate. Assign, oversee, and benchmark progress on their administrative job functions as related to the Major and leadership annual giving donor portfolios, which comprises 50% of their time. This role is in partnership with the Membership Manager, to whom the Development Associate formally reports. (10%)
  • Participate in the life of the Development team and the WXPN staff as a collaborative and invested partner. Contribute in meaningful ways to team meetings; solicit and offer encouragement and feedback; and serve as a positive and productive team player. (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned (5%)
