Journalism Collaboration: StateImpact Pennsylvania

This grant supports a statewide news collaboration focusing on the energy industry, the economic, health and environmental impact of energy choices and production. WITF/Harrisburg is the lead station, collaborating with WHYY/Philadelphia, WESA/Pittsburgh and WYEP/Pittsburgh. A Harrisburg-based editor guides four reporters to produce feature-length radio stories, multimedia web features, social media updates and hour-long radio specials. The journalists produce podcasts and community engagement forums, 30-minute television programs and edited segments for digital distribution. Content is carried by the station partners and other local, regional and national media outlets including NPR’s energy and environment team.
