The KSPS PBS team seeks an experienced philanthropy professional with a strong background in the local nonprofit development space to fill the role of Major Giving Manager. This individual will play a vital role in our fundraising efforts, tasked with identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors and planned gifts to support our mission. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in the local philanthropic community to develop and implement tailored solicitation strategies for each donor and prospect.
The Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator helps to ensure KSMU Radio and Ozarks Public Television (OPT) meaningfully reflects and connects with the communities we serve by utilizing content, messaging, and engagement to grow and diversify our audiences, and extend the impact of our content. The Coordinator, Community Engagement and Volunteers develops, coordinates, and executes community engagement activities and special events and recruits, trains, and schedules volunteers to meet the organizational needs and objectives of KSMU Radio and OPT.
The Development team at Radio/TV Services serves both WFIU public radio and WTIU public television. WFIU has nearly 4,000 contributing members, and WTIU has nearly 6,000 contributing members who make the station's work possible. About half of our members are sustaining (monthly) donors. Membership revenue to the station has been very consistent, thanks to the focus on sustaining giving and the growth of PBS Passport.
