JOB OBJECTIVE:
Nebraska Public Media seeks an innovative and collaborative Senior Director of Engineering to lead a critically important division of this state-wide public media organization. Nebraska Public Media operates nine television and nine radio stations and is recognized for the ground-breaking work of Nebraska Public Media Labs.
We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Engineer to join our Engineering Division, reporting directly to the Principal Director of Information Technology. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing our organization's information systems to ensure optimal operational functionality.
The Managing Editor and Senior Producer of Vermont Edition supervises the hosts and producers of Vermont Edition and coordinates the work responsibilities, promotions, and digital and broadcast needs of the daily show. This includes the broadcast and digital components of each show, the guests and tape assets needed for the show, and related digital/social media content and workflow needed for the podcast and rebroadcast of each show.
The Associate Director coordinates and implements day-to-day activities of the Electronic Media Communications (EMC) department which includes WJAB-FM 90.9 and WJAB-TV 78.. Serves as manager for the production, distribution and scheduling services of the unit. Assist with planning and production of local programs and live broadcasts. Serve as Executive Producer for all programming on WJAB-FM and WJAB-TV. Serve as advisor to departmental students. Work air shift as needed.
ABOUT THE JOB
You'll create and execute comprehensive marketing and communications plans to support the overall marketing effort of the organization and serve as the primary spokesperson and proactive community ambassador on behalf of the organization. You'll lead the development and execution of all marketing and public relations strategies along with internal communications.
