Washington, D.C. (November 25, 2025) — The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) today announced an additional $507,000 investment in the Mountain West News Bureau (MWNB), extending the regional journalism collaboration through June 30, 2028, and enabling the addition of a new Digital Editor to strengthen its multi-platform reporting. This brings CPB’s total support for the project to more than $1 million.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 5, 2025) – The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) has awarded an additional $750,000 for a four-year grant to the Public Media Journalists Association (PMJA) to support its Editor Corps program, a vital initiative that provides short-term editorial assistance to public media newsrooms across the country. This new funding builds on the two-year, $200,000 grant CPB announced earlier this year in support of the PMJA Editor Corps, securing the service through 2031.

(May 1, 2025) — Poynter is pleased to announce 23 executives from across the nation have been selected for the 2025 Public Media Executive Editorial Integrity and Leadership Initiative, a six-month fellowship developed by the Poynter Institute and funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB).

(May 1, 2025) -- The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) has awarded the latest in a series of grants to prioritize local reporting -- a $649,703 grant to the Appalachia + Mid-South Newsroom (AMSN). The journalism collaboration of public radio and television stations, led by Louisville Public Media, was launched last fall to provide relevant, fact-based information to local communities across Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

(February 6, 2025) -- The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) has awarded a $1 million grant to Harvest Public Media, a public media journalism collaboration covering agricultural and rural issues that gives insight into the lives of people in the Midwest, Great Plains, and farming communities throughout the country. The three-year grant will help the station collaboration expand from nine to 15 states, increasing its reach and daily coverage of rural issues.
