  • Corporation for Public Broadcasting Awards $4 Million to Launch Rural News and Information Services

    Washington, D.C. (December 4, 2025) — The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) today announced $4.4 million in grants to establish Rural News and Information Services in eight states. The funding supports public media organizations focused on expanding reporting in rural America. The initiative will strengthen coverage of local issues, elevate community voices, and produce audience-informed content that reflects the diverse experiences of rural life across the United States.

  • Corporation for Public Broadcasting Extends Support for the Mountain West News Bureau

    Washington, D.C. (November 25, 2025) — The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) today announced an additional $507,000 investment in the Mountain West News Bureau (MWNB), extending the regional journalism collaboration through June 30, 2028, and enabling the addition of a new Digital Editor to strengthen its multi-platform reporting. This brings CPB’s total support for the project to more than $1 million.

(November 12, 2025) — The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) announced today that Donna Joe has been promoted to Executive Vice President and General Counsel, succeeding Evan Slavitt who joined CPB in 2024 and has accepted a new position with the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law.

  • Corporation for Public Broadcasting Invests $750,000 in PMJA’s Editor Corps to Strengthen Local Newsrooms

    WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 5, 2025) – The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) has awarded an additional $750,000 for a four-year grant to the Public Media Journalists Association (PMJA) to support its Editor Corps program, a vital initiative that provides short-term editorial assistance to public media newsrooms across the country. This new funding builds on the two-year, $200,000 grant CPB announced earlier this year in support of the PMJA Editor Corps, securing the service through 2031.
