Beth Jacobs, VP, Digital Strategy and Innovation

Beth Jacobs is Vice President, Digital Strategy and Innovation at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. She leads the strategy development, prioritization, deployment and management of a portfolio of major system-wide digital transformation investment initiatives that accelerate the delivery of business capabilities, generate bottom-line growth and support sustainability. These include oversight of several new multi-year digital transformation training programs resulting in audience and revenue growth as well as the successful development and implementation of a new enterprise, system-wide digital infrastructure, including a customized CMS and a customer identity management platform enabling public media SSO service. Each of these provides the public media system with enhanced business capabilities, operational efficiencies and opportunities to reach, grow and retain audiences on digital platforms.  She also serves as a digital expert and advisor to public media station executives and digital product, technology, marketing and programming leaders on emerging technologies and multiplatform digital product, tech, marketing and business strategies and tactics to acquire new audiences, enable personalization, capture new revenue and create operating efficiencies.

Ms. Jacobs brings with her more than 20 years of experience developing, leading and scaling profitable digital businesses in both early-stage tech companies and large media brands. Before coming to CPB in 2019, she served as the Senior Director for Personalization and Distribution Strategy and Operations at Choice Hotels. Previously, she was Vice President, Product Management and Strategy at 3Pillar Global and the executive lead managing 3Pillar Labs, an innovation lab for emerging technologies. Other senior roles leading digital growth businesses include three years as the General Manager – Mobile at The Washington Post; six years at AOL as the Vice President - Mobile Business Development; and strategic partnership and marketing roles at The Weather Channel, Cox Interactive Media and AT&T. Mobile Marketer named Jacobs a “Mobile Woman to Watch" in 2012.

Ms. Jacobs has an MBA in Marketing and International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BA in International Relations and Japanese and East Asian studies from Bucknell University.
