Hello, what is the process for a public radio station to change its format? WVIK 90.3 FM plans to change from its current news and classical music format to all news. (It plans to move classical music to a low power frequency, 105.7 FM which I can't get at my house.) How do I submit a public comment about this proposed format change to object as I have financially support the station for many years? Does the station need permission from the CPB or another entity to make such a drastic change? Are listeners and supporters allowed to have a voice in the decision?

Each local public broadcasting stations makes their own decisions in regards to programming and CPB is prohibited from interfering in programming decisions.
