Job Description:

PBS Wisconsin Education is looking for a manager to lead the growth of our nationally recognized early learning program. Do you resonate with the public media mission and have a deep understanding of the role of developmentally appropriate educational media in early learning spaces? Are you a strategic thinker who is excited to manage people, programs and budgets to achieve the greatest impacts possible? If you answered yes to those questions, we invite you to join the team at PBS Wisconsin Education, where we have a deep respect for the educators and partners we serve and take a participatory, engagement-driven approach to ensuring that children ages 2-8 in Wisconsin have equitable access to high-quality educational media resources and services from PBS KIDS.

The Early Learning Manager is a new position created to help the PBS Wisconsin Education team scale early learning programs that combine the strengths of our successful work activating national Ready to Learn resources from PBS KIDS with statewide early learning initiatives and priorities through train-the-trainer models developed by our talented team. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing and scaling projects with ambitious goals. They also have experience supervising high-performing staff to create professional learning experiences that meet the needs of caring adults working with early learners (early childhood educators, childcare providers, early learning programs, parents and caregivers, librarians, and multi-generational family units), especially in high-need and under-resourced communities. This position will supervise a minimum of two full-time staff and reports to the associate director of education engagement.
