Summary:
Vermont Public is seeking a Broadcast Engineer- Studio to join our Engineering & Technology department. This role will support Vermont Public’s strategic plan by performing a variety of duties that require a broad range of knowledge and experience in audio, video, electronics, radio frequency transmission, computers and computer networks. Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations are essential. The position requires some travel as well as the ability to self direct; often the broadcast engineer must work alone and exercise independent judgment with respect to high priority station needs.
Work assignments will include supporting both radio and television studio operations and related broadcast infrastructure at Vermont Public’s main and remote studio locations and providing engineering support for remote broadcasts and productions as needed.

Who Should Apply?
We are seeking applicants with 2 or more years of TV and/or Radio studio engineering experience, a strong desire to learn, and the flexibility to move between various job tasks as assigned. Candidates with experience in Audio-over-IP and/or Video-over-IP, broadcast automation, content ingestion and delivery systems, and broadcast-related networking preferred.

This is a full-time non-exempt Bargaining Union position; compensation starts at $37.93/hr
