The Operator II position will:

  • Monitor program logs for the television and radio automation systems and make corrections as needed.  Working ahead to avoid operational problems with a minimal error.
  • Operate television and radio broadcast editors and related equipment to tag promos.
  • Oversee television and radio program downloads and records for proper playout and to maintain program continuity and signal quality.
  • Respond to system alarms and take necessary correction action.  After hours nights and weekends.
  • Monitor and verify that KTTZ and KCOS television signals and feeds operate within FCC guidelines.
  • Monitor and verify that KTTZ and KNCH radio signals and feeds operate within FCC guidelines.
  • Ensure television programs are closed captioned.
  • Operate various television and radio broadcast equipment including automation systems, EAS systems, non-linear video editor, video and audio switchers, waveform monitors and other associated equipment, as required.
