Job Description:

Georgia Public Broadcasting’s (GPB) is hiring a Communications Project Coordinator that will provide project and administrative support to the Communications department, comprised of the Marketing, Graphics and Creative services teams. The Communications Project Coordinator will report to the Vice President of Communications. GPB is a statewide dual licensee comprised of 9 PBS television stations and 20 NPR radio stations that broadcast across the state of Georgia.

Candidate Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the design and ordering of promotional products, print materials and other project needs through researching price quotes and product offerings samples, as well as serving as the liaison with vendors for the GPB Graphics department and other GPB divisions.
• Coordinates between GPB Radio, Communications and Underwriting departments to ensure delivery of promotional on-air copy for established media trades with statewide magazines, including Georgia Trend, Savannah Magazine and Macon Magazine, among others.
• Works with VP of Communications and Graphics department on the creation and placement of GPB print ads in these publications as part of the media trades.
• Coordinates with Underwriting department for delivery and scheduling of sponsor client ads to be placed in email newsletters and GPB Next Magazine, the monthly publication sent to donors.
• Works with VP of Communications, Underwriting department and Development Division on the creation of media trades/partnerships with various organizations. Creates sales orders/agreements and assures fulfillment of GPB deliverables, including GPB TV spots, GPB Radio spots, GPB Next Magazine ads and email newsletter ads.
• Assist VP of Communications in the research and purchase of external media advertising and staff in the preparation of Communications plans and reports.
• Performs additional or related duties as assigned or required.

Candidate Qualifications:
• Proven experience and success in project management/coordination required.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, business or working in a fundraising, sales or a customer service environment or related field preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Candidate should be highly organized, detail oriented, motivated, web and computer savvy and proficient with excellent computer skills, including database management, proficiency with Excel, Word, Power Point, and other programs.
• Familiarity with timelines, strong judgment and decision-making skills needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, successfully meet deadlines and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours and some travel required.
• Candidate with an interest in the arts and humanities is a plus.
