Job Description:

KMOS PBS seeks an experienced VIDEO PRODUCER to assist with the creation and delivery of all KMOS-TV video and television content. Under the direction of the Director of Broadcasting Services, this position serves as director, producer, videographer, writer, editor and graphic designer on projects related to KMOS-TV and the University of Central Missouri.

Pay Rate: $4744.83/month

This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. Education & Formal Training:    Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or related field.

Education may be substituted for experience or if experience may be substituted for education. Note that equivalencies are based on the following: AA or 60 credit hours = 2 years experience; BA/BS or 120 credit hours = 4 years experience; MA/MS = 6 years experience.

Computer Skills: Word-Processing, PhotoShop (Graphics & logo generation for Funding Credits & photo conversion to AVID compatible media), Pinnacle Deko Generator & AVID editing sofware, Desktop Publishing.

Experience: Four (4) years experience in television and video production.

Four (4) years of experience in working with non-linear editing systems (Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).

Two (2) years experience operating professional video and DSLR cameras.

Two (2) years of experience managing a television or video production from concept to completion.

Public Broadcasting experience preferred

Motion/still graphic experience preferred (Adobe After Effects, Photoshop)

 

Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check, Driver's license

Special Working Conditions:    Professional appearance, Work in stressful conditions, travel required for Field Production on location and some overnight travel.

Irregular work hours – working Pledge drives, work in stressful conditions with live productions and constant deadlines
