Dr. Wilhelmina Van Dyke was the first woman at Mass General Hospital....The only female and got through the bias of being a woman with the gaul to do such a thing as be a Doctor. Not only did she kick open doors and ceilings.... she was my Pediatrician! I did not know her story... because I was a kid and thought this was normal. When she passed and her obituary showed her story..... I wish I had known... as an adult... and thank her... and celebrate Dr. Van Dyke for the amazing strong woman and trailblazer that she was!!!! Please look her up..... She was modest etc.... but deserves a shout out and a huge thank you from the woman that stand on her shoulders.
