By/With/For Youth: Inspiring Next Gen Public Media Audiences
The Joan Ganz Cooney Center for Educational Media and Research is conducting a research and development project (formerly called New Public Media for Youth) to lay the groundwork for public media to build and engage an audience of youth ages 8-18. This research and development has two main focuses: 1) landscape research on youth media practices, and 2) identifying opportunities for public media organizations to support youth creativity, communication, civic participation and learning.
