Sarah Bean, Vice President, Education Content and Innovation

Sarah Bean is Vice President, Education Content and Innovation at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. In her role, she provides strategic leadership and analysis to maximize the impact of CPB’s education investments in a changing media environment. She leads CPB’s education data and information strategy and provides oversight on grant projects to support innovation and effective implementation. Previously, Ms. Bean was Senior Director, Education Innovation at CPB, managing grants that included support for the growth of PBS KIDS content on digital platforms. Since 2007 she has served in various roles on CPB’s education and Ready To Learn teams supporting grants for audiences of children and teens, families, and educators.

Ms. Bean began her career managing training and development for a coffee house franchise. She graduated from the College of William & Mary and has a Master of Arts Degree in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University.
