AFI DOCS 2019

CPB is an official sponsor of AFI DOCS 2019, the annual documentary festival in Washington, D.C., June 19-23, 2019. The CPB grant supports: a mainstage evening to celebrate public media's transformational contributions to documentary filmmaking; a Cinema's Legacy program, featuring seminal and iconic documentaries over the last half-century; programming at the AFI DOCS Forum; a daylong gathering of 3-4 local filmmaking communities to deepen relationships among local filmmakers, public television stations, and local non-profit artist support organizations.
