The Future of Work

This three-hour PBS primetime series focuses on the complex issues facing those entering today's labor force, displaced workers and the families and communities affected by what some are calling the fourth industrial revolution: traditional businesses disappearing as new industries spring up, flexibility and autonomy on the job supplanting lifelong company employment, and A.I. reducing manual labor or rote tasks. The broadcast, to air in 2021, anchors a multimedia engagement plan to advance education and career-readiness in communities across the country, with a focus on skills needed to succeed today and tomorrow.
