NPR Investigative Reporting Resources

NPR is building a system of centralized, shared resources in public media for investigative journalism. The grant funds two NPR-based data journalists and a deputy editor to work with selected station newsrooms to help analyze complex data sets that could surface investigative leads and mentor local reporters conducting in-depth investigative projects. In addition, NPR's training team helps stations learn to file Freedom of Information Act requests, cultivate news sources and do data-driven reporting.
