Tokyo Hula
This documentary examines how tourism, economics, and a love for all things Hawaiian have fueled the popularity of hula dancing in Japan. It focuses on the personal stories of Japanese teachers (sensei) who have started their own schools and Hawaiian master teachers (kumu hula) who are now living and teaching in Japan.
