PBS News hour

California
Feedback:

PBS is publically owned, given $445 Million per year by Taxpayers, Democrats, Republicans, Independents Etc. Given these facts why did PBS refuse to report the stories about Hunter Biden's ties to the Chinese and the FBI investigation of his Laptop?

KOCE a PBS station in Los Angeles

California
Feedback:

KOCE has a disturbing clanging (probably from electric guitars) noise during a station break just after and just before a program. They often show very serious or a particularly interesting human story or serious history, perhaps about some kind of human struggle. Then, on the station break you get this very noisy clanging sound. It's disturbing. I don't know why they have that particular noise between programs. Why? Often I just leave the station as soon as a program is over and go to some other station. Moreover, I send NO donation to the station.

Judy Woodruff Wardrobe

January 1, 2020
Feedback:

Although I'm a big fan of Judy Woodruff, I must admit that I'm mystified by Judy's frequent changes in wardrobe in mid-show, and sometimes seemingly, in mid-interview. I could have sworn Judy changed her outfit in the middle of an interview on Trump's foreign policy on yesterday's show. I'm just wondering whether she turned off her monitor before during so. That might be a sure sign that Judy is suffering from cabin fever. I don't recall that she ever changed her outfit mid-interview when she did the show from the studio. Although, some of her male colleagues may not have minded it.

PBS Newshour

Feedback:

Judy Woodruff should retire. NOW. She drones on, forever, setting up questions and generally talks WAAAAAAY too much, and says virtually nothing. We do not need 5 damned minutes of Woodruff "setting the piece up" with her own ridiculously long opinions.

To Woodruff: Shut the f*** up b****.

Reveal , weekly program on KCHO, Chico, CA

California
Feedback:

Program was cut off this AM at 10:40 and jazz music was played instead of the program I was hoping to listen to. This is one of my favorites, and there was an interview being conducted....THE CUTOFF WAS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERVIEW AND APPEARED TO BE CENSORSHIP. This is not what we should be about!! I love this program....excellent reporting. They were interviewing an author, and we were gaining insite into her research. Even if you disagreed, it was a BOOK. PBS NewsHour

December 31 from California
Feedback:

I know through our funding, through our donations, that you fund all the programs on PBS, including PBS NewsHour. I'm calling to let you know why I will not donate again. I am thoroughly disgusting with what I regularly see now on the PBS NewsHour. Right now I'm watching a report on the pandemic, where Judy Woodruff is interviewing some guy from the New York Times who has laid the entire pandemic at the feet of Donald Trump. I'm a lifelong Democrat but this is absolute nonsense. I have videos of all of our leaders, including here in Califronia - Nancy Pelosi and Gavin Newsom saying, "Come to Chinatown. This thing is going to pass quickly." The same thing in New York, where they were putting recovering patients in nursing homes and then had people dropping like flies. The misstep that took place here was on all sides and by everyone. The fact that Trump was not more forceful in his rhetoric, yes, I think he is an idiot in that way. However, people were listening to everyone, including the Democrats who said that there was nothing to see here. The CDC said for months that they didn't believe that it was airborne and they didn't believe we had to wear masks. All of the sudden we had to wear masks. All of that seems to be forgotten while they lay all of that at the feet of one man, saying that he is responsible for as many for 180,000 to 200,000 deaths. What absolute garbage. That is not news. That is bull****. I don't know what else to call it. That is pure bull****. Watching the Newshour and hearing to Yamiche Alcindor almost regularly now, "Judy, people are saying" or "Judy, according to critics." That is not news. That is heresy. That is yellow journalism and garbage. I won't fund it and a lot of my friends are saying likewise. If your funding is going down then that is why. I think its time for Judy to go take a holiday anyway. I think Amna Nawaz should take over for her. I think she is a journalist. When she's questioning reporters it has a different tone to it. When Judy is questioning reporters, especially Yamiche Alcindor, she seems to lead her. Yamiche, I don't know where the h*** she came from but that is not a journalist. Someone that says "critics are saying" and things like that is not a journalist. And most of your bumpers that they put up a graphic - they have these statistics that are all out of wack with no source mentioned at all. This is like heresy news now. I think MacNeil/Lehrer would be agast if they saw this. And Gwen Iffil, who was my favorite, would vomit if she saw what was passing for news on PBS now. I just wanted to let you people know why I am not with you anymore. I love PBS, but I am disgusted by the PBS Newshour now. I will fund my local one but I will never give a big gift ever again.

I would like to know why your news broadcasting on PBS is so anti-American. It is disgusting. It is a terrible thing that you are using taxpayer money to run down the United States.

Liberal Bias and Who DOES oversee PBS' Ethics?

Illinois
Feedback:

My family has watched The NewsHour, a former interesting news show, for years. Now the program offers slanted Narratives, not News. Here's an example. Last night Lisa recapped the news and then stated enthusiastically, "On a BRIGHT NOTE, the House of Representatives signed off on impeaching President Trump." What sort of person regards an impeachment as a bright note?

Furthermore, the NewsHour used to show about 30 minutes of international news and feature stories. Now it seems unless there's an anti-President Trump slant or Critical Race Theory slant that fits your Narrative it won't make it on air.

Shameful.

CPB Merch

Massachusetts
Feedback:

Is it possible within the corporation's power to also sell merchandise based on its legacy and place in the culture of public media in our country? I know this becomes a niche of a niche, but I figure it might be worth considering as a revenue option, if only insignificant. Also, I just want a shirt with the CPB logos of yore on them. Thanks!

Note from CPB: Thank you for contacting the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. While CPB does not sell merchandise, there are other public media entities that do sell their own merchandise. You may be interested in merchandise from PBS, NPR or your local public television and radio stations, which sell merchandise on their respective websites.

Newshour: Please deliver this message to Mark Shields

Colorado
Feedback:

Dear Mr. Shields, I just read David Brooks's column on your retirement following the Newshour broadcast this coming Friday, and I need to write to wish you, from deep in my heart, the very best. I have watched the News Hour since 1982, when it was the MacNeil Lehrer Report. I have watched you since GERGEN and Shields. I also was the one who ran into you in a hotel in San Diego some years back while you were trying to order some eggs from the breakfast buffet and thanked you for all you do -- sorry to disrupt you! I am going to miss you. I have always admired your passion, decency, goodness, and humanity. You treated people fairly. You spoke with such clarity about the democratic process, of your conviction that politics can be a force of good. I cannot thank you enough.

This Friday I will tune in again, looking forward to seeing you once more. I will smile, and likely a tear or two will fall down my cheek. You are, Mr. Shields, something special. Thank you again, and best wishes.

PBS News Hour and Judy Woodruff

Texas
Feedback:

I voted for Biden, and I dislike and disapprove of Trump. That said, I would like Judy Woodruff to resist showing her animosity to Trump. It is getting boring, predictable, and annoying to hear her bash Trump every evening and in almost every news story. It is almost to the point that I think she has a personal (not professional) vendetta towards Trump. If she cannot report news without unnecessarily bringing Trump into it, she should retire. I donate to PBS, but I'm looking for other news sources.
