I'd like to know the names of the two pledge drive hosts during "Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age" on WTTW in Chicago.

The Newshour with Judy Woodruff
The results of the election in Virginia and President Biden's sinking poll numbers are indicators of what the electorate not only feel about the Biden agenda, but the whole campaign in the media to cancel any alternative perspectives on the important issues facing voters. People want The McNeil Lehrer Newshour brought back. I fondly remember The PBS Newshour with McNeil/Lehrer. The best part of the program were the lively debates moderated by both of the two hosts, as well as Judy Woodruff herself. Sadly, Judy does not seem to have been positively influenced, as evidenced by the one sided biased reporting dominating the program 99.9%. Woodruff stifles debate and seems to have an anti Male agenda. Is she allergic to heterosexual males, sure seems that way to me. I guess woodruff does not believe men count for much anymore in the so called "me too" generation, AKA a Blood Libel.
There is no reforming this bunch. I object to any public funds going to this program, with all due respect.

Newshour
Time for Judy Woodruff to retire; long past time. Her gratuitious comments distract from interviews. Please get on with it. Give Amna the job.
Valley PBS
Hello,
I’m wondering if the CPB is aware of what’s happening to the Valley PBS station in Central California. It appears to have been taken over by local conservative business interests and has been producing programming that looks increasingly like corporate agribusiness infomercials.
The current CEO (an openly politically partisan figure on social media) owns the production company the station pays to produce these programs, and they were underwritten by an agribusiness lobbyist who also sits on the station’s board.
It was reported today that vacancies on the board were filled with five more conservative businesspeople. Is there anything the CPB can do to prevent a takeover like this by commercial interests?
Passport
My husband has given over $600.00 to WSRE and Alabama Public TV. And received NO information on Passport. What’s up with that?
PBS Newshour
Gary Abernathy is the antithesis of David Brooks. Please, bring in Gerson to fill in for Brooks. There was no PBS civility in the Capehart/Abernathy exchange. Big disappointment.
Judy Woodruff
It's long past time for Judy to retire. She stumbles over her awful words, she can't control the interview and asks the most gosh awful questions. I will no longer donate to PBS while she is employed.
Political programming, e.g., in New Jersey, Steve Adubato
I have, for as long as I can remember, been a staunch supporter of PBS . I have always contributed to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey channels. (I live on the borderline of both states.) I have noticed, that gradually, over the past 5-6 years, PBS political programming leans seriously towards obviously favoring and supporting Democrats, choosing to give no air time to anyone else. I can only assume that they cater to the wealthy democrats in our rich state, for example, Bergen County (New York suburbanites). I have decided I will no longer support such a media. I work hard for my money and cannot compete with your wealthy clientele. I now watch foreign broadcasts on regular channels, where I get a unbiased and global perspective. The US media has a lot to learn from foreign broadcasting, were they give us honest reporting without favoritism or their personal opinion.
PBS News Hour
As a regular listener to PBS News Hour, I appreciate your comprehensive and unbiased coverage of the climate crisis. My concern is that having partial sponsorship by BNSF Railroad might be a conflict of interest as they are one of the biggest transporters of fossil fuels in the US. While I understand that financial support of PBS is important, I think that there is also a priority to be true to ones message.
Again,I appreciate your commitment to the presentation of quality and consequential news each night. I encourage your conversation on this important topic.
Sincerely, Daniel Price

Please explain why the BBC Studios Suddenly Decided to No Longer Make Eastenders available to the US
Why is PBS (or CPB) not negotiating for the continued airing of the British Series, “Eastenders” on WLIW PBS TV, as it has done so for at least 20 + years? Don’t you owe a bit more of an explanation to your loyal views/donors? This program has aired for decades in American and at least 12 or more years longer in England - as the British are way ahead of us in taping and the airing of the Eastenders series.
We are shocked that WLIW PBS TV suddenly notified us (on Oct. 12, 2021) at the end of this past week’s Eastenders that they are dropping the program and the last episode will be airing on Nov 18, 2021. This was WLIW’s written statement, which was snuck in at the end of the program: “Unfortunately, BBC Studios, the show's distributor, can no longer make EastEnders available in the U.S. TPT's last available episode will air on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021. Thank you to the many TPT Members who have specifically helped make this program possible to so many fans in our community.”
That was shocking! Why can’t BBC Studios suddenly make EastEnders available in the US? There is no explanation as to why BBC Studios has done this? Is it a money issue? If so, why not share the reason with the viewers? There are many loyal fans of the show in the US that have watched Eastenders for decades and it is like the rug has been pulled out from underneath us. Why have they not even given their viewers/donors a better understanding as to the reasons they can not negotiate a deal with BBC Studios? Isn’t there anything WLIW loyal viewers / donors can do, as a group – if PBS asks for our help?
In the past, EastEnders was almost pulled the show, but they were straight with their viewers, so the viewers donated the needed money and the programing continued. What can we do to stop this from happening once again? It’s not like the creators of Eastenders discontinued creating the show, they are way ahead of us with previously created episodes in the UK. We have friends in England who watch EastEnders several times a week and there is no talk there about pulling the show. This seems very unfair to us in the USA. My husband and I have been watching Eastenders for over 20 years. I realize it is only a soap opera, but we are rather “addicted” to the show, the characters, and the exciting story lines. It seems rather mean spirited and thoughtless to do this to your viewers/donors when we have been long time viewers and supporters of Eastenders and PBS.
What can we do to reverse this decision?? Please be straight with us as to why suddenly the BBC Studies (the show’s distributor) can no longer make Eastenders available to the US. Is it a political discrepancy or financial, are they understaffed and can not do it any longer? Surely with some diplomacy or money, the issue may be resolved. Please give us more than a thank you and goodbye!
Sincerely,
Patricia Mattone and Frank Pedagno

I live to see the British shows at 9 to 11 Sat. nights , and I turn on your station , and there's a football game on , when As time Goes By and Doc Martin are scheduled. Very disappointed to miss what you have on your announced schedule.
WOODRUFF
SHE ASKS SOFTBALL QUESTIONS AND HAS NO BUSINESS BEING THE MAIN NEWS READER ALL SHE SEEMS TO DO IS LOAD PBS NEWS WITH YOUNG WOMEN WHO ARE NOT EXPERIENCED and pander to them
Too much partisan politics coming from PBS Newshour
In just a few words: Judy Woodruff and Yamich Alcindor have to go. Let them move to liberal talk radio, just not a legitimate news source like the Newshour has always been until now. I’m nauseated every time I see them. I have moved to ABC Nightly News and am considering stopping my automatic donations to my local station.

He’s a Race bater! He only tells half of the truth! Conveniently leaves out facts about Black Slave owners?? His guests are all one sided! Pretty much all of your programming is very one sided! I no longer watch PBS Programming. unbelievably biased!
