CPB seeks to make public broadcasting more accessible to the public it serves. To do so CPB maintains a toll-free, 24-hour telephone line (1-800-272-2190), an online contact form, and accepts letters sent directly to CPB.

All comments are available on this website to be viewed by the general public. Each year, by statute, CPB transmits this public link to the White House for its report to Congress. Additionally, comments pertaining to programming are shared with the CPB Board of Directors and relevant public media staff.

It is very important that you look at Yamiche Alcindor. She is biased. She starting to talk completely with her hands. She needs to be fired.

Programming

North Carolina
Feedback:

I believe in public Television. We’ve contributed in the past. However lately your programming is really bad, All this dark and hopeless murder garbage, one after the other! Incredibly depressing. Then there are these pointless repetitive series that disappear after 3 episodes because they don’t get traction. How many times in a row can you show the same Father Brown? As a musician, I have to say you ignore jazz and more serious and modern forms of music. Austin City Limits has become laughable. Lawrence Welk, really? Every time you want money you show the same tired old rock and soul over and over again. Now you’re pushing these idiot new age gurus which are ridiculous. I guess yet another excuse for showing Downton Abbey is coming right? You need to modernize and live up to the values you claim to have. At the moment I’m finding less reason to watch you.

Mark Shields’ final appearance on the News Hour

Feedback:

Dear Mr. Shields, I cannot describe how sad I am , having heard you are leaving the News Hour. I don’t know how many years I have followed you, but they have been fulfilling in a joyous way. First, you remind me of my beloved Dad because you share a strong resemblance; secondly, your analysis is continuously spot on, in my opinion. Thank you so much for sharing your able observations of our political challenges over these decades. My deepest respect, Geraldine Lash

Feedback:

I just received an email from PBS requesting a donation. As long as this station continues to have such an overt leftist bias, they can forget about any additional support from me. In fact, I support eliminating taxpayer funding since they do not impartially represent ALL of the people.

Announcement of Mark Shields' retirement from PBS Newshour's Friday Political Commentary Desk

New York
Feedback:

What a sad day for those of us who have listened to his wit and wisdom for all these years. Somehow it seems to be more than thirty-three years. Every Friday evening watching the Newshour for the exchange of sharp political insight and witty remarks between Mark and David Gergen, Paul Gigot, and now the equally incomparable David Brooks, has been a weekly must. For anyone who prides himself on being politically attuned, there has been no better set of commentators. And among this select group, Mark has always been the standout--witty comments, encyclopedic knowledge of past and current political issues and figures, and wise, thoughtful remarks that put all of these other "pundits" to shame. Thank you for such wonderful work, enlightening our minds and bringing leavening humor to our perceptions of American democracy in action. A new star added to the PBS galaxy: Robin MacNeil, Jim Lehrer, Gwen Ifill, et al.

I am of the opinion as others before me that PBS is a far left organization and your bias is so obvious. The German station DW New with Brent Goff is a typical left leaning propagandist against the United States. He doesn't impress me at all and seems to me to be a no talent journalist that couldn't get a job in the USA!!!

Liberal bias

Feedback:

I am contacting my senator about cutting government funding to PBS due to it's liberal/ democratic party bias. There should be no bias in public television. It is plain to see the bias, especially on Ampour and company and the PBS news hour.

CPB Merch

Massachusetts
Feedback:

Is it possible within the corporation's power to also sell merchandise based on its legacy and place in the culture of public media in our country? I know this becomes a niche of a niche, but I figure it might be worth considering as a revenue option, if only insignificant. Also, I just want a shirt with the CPB logos of yore on them. Thanks!

Note from CPB: Thank you for contacting the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. While CPB does not sell merchandise, there are other public media entities that do sell their own merchandise. You may be interested in merchandise from PBS, NPR or your local public television and radio stations, which sell merchandise on their respective websites.
