Washington Week

On Washington Week, some of the reporters refuse to refer to Trump by his name, instead using the euphemism, “the former president”. If I didn’t know any better, I might think that they were referring to Jimmy Carter.

Mistitled programs

Sirs, several times lately your programs are listed wrongly. Is no one minding the store? Today all Creatures Great and Small is actually a Lucy Worley history of the London Tower. This ha been off and on for weeks. ERlier today Samantha Brown was actually Curious Traveler. Is someone not reading before loading the show?

NPR on air availability

Why such poor service near zip 92240. Station constantly off air...just static

Finding your roots. Season seven. Country roots

This episode re-aired several times in southern Oregon this week. I found myself disturbed by an assumption Dr Gates made. While it is clear that many white slave owners impregnated their female slaves— whether out of lust or as a matter of breeding to expand “property” in a manner similar to horse breeding—- it is not at all clear that some of his guests’ African DNA comes from that. He completely has ignored the fact that Sicily is close to Africa and Moors and other ethnic groups resided on the island in past centuries.

Israeli Council General 12/27/2023

It seem pbs has lost its way. Amna is no Judy Woodruff. She harassed the Israeli Ambassador yesterday with continuous interruptions and pointed questions. She is one sided instead of objective. From previous similar comments it appears the station is deaf. With all the antisemitism one would expect pbs to be more sensitive. Sincerely, S*****e H*****z Please read this older post. “ Nawaz is a terrible wanna-be-anchor whose staccato, machine gun delivery is at least off-putting and disrupts the kind of calm insight Woodruff has brought for years.

PBS NewsHour

I was (and am) a HUGE fan of Judy Woodruff; thought I could never switch my loyalty to the 'new kids'. But, I'm very impressed with Amna and Geoff. Both highly professional and very worthy of my continuing support. I keep watching for, and think I've seen, the two of them checking in with each other at the end of the broadcast, much like Judy and Gwen did during their all-too-short time as co-anchors. Keep up the good work which continues to be very important in these times of fake news and charlatans.

Newshour

My compliments to Amna Nawaz for her interview of Hertzog , the Israeli ambassador. On Dec 27 Amna never gave up her very important line of questions as Hertzog tried to evade the answers.

PBS Newshour Amna Nawaz

I just watched Amna Nawaz’s interview with Michael Herzog, the Israeli ambassador to the US. She is so biased, and so rude. She interrupted, didn’t listen to Ambassador Herzog’s responses, used invalidated statistics spouted by the terrorist group Hammas and was generally revolting. Perhaps it is time to get a decent interviewer who doesn’t ooze her support of terrorism and antizionism. She’s just another sorry excuse for a reporter.

CPB Television Content

I HAVE BEEN TASKED WITH REVIEWING MAINSTREAM MEDIA TO PROVIDE ORGANIZATION ENLIGHTENMENT ON WHETHER THERE EXISTS BIASED CONTENT, ANF IF SO, WHETHER IT IS A "ONE OFF" OR WHETHER IT IS A CUSTOMARY PRACTICE. IN THAT REGARD, THE CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING ASIDE FROM PRIVATE CONTRIBUTIONS ALSO RECIEVES FUNDING FROM THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT. THERE ARE SIX NEWS PROGRAMS WHICH "APPEAR" TO EXHIBIT A CHRONIC Moderate TO PROFOUND BIAS IT IT'S NEWS REPORTING. THE SIX PROGRAMS ARE LISTED AS: 1. "THE PBS NEWSHOUR" 2. "AMANPOUR AND COMPANY"

PBS News Hour

I don't like cliches but Ali Rogin is a "bright and shinning rising star journalist" Ali Rogin shows sincere thought with her questions and an ability to be direct to the point of the question with out being someone who screams look at me I am asking the question a rare talent. Some of the changes that have happened with the full time anchor Judy Woodruff departure have not been great in my ears but I am holding back on negative feedback because I realize the budget plays a major roll in some of the changes
