I am so disappointed at the Bias against Conservatives on your outlets now. I have stopped being a donating members due to your biased programming that is obviously being controlled by Liberals and Democrats. Heart Broken! We have been staunch supporters for many years.
Your Feedback
CPB seeks to make public broadcasting more accessible to the public it serves. To do so CPB maintains a toll-free, 24-hour telephone line (1-800-272-2190), an online contact form, and accepts letters sent directly to CPB.
All comments are available on this website to be viewed by the general public. Each year, by statute, CPB transmits this public link to the White House for its report to Congress. Additionally, comments pertaining to programming are shared with the CPB Board of Directors and relevant public media staff.

Suggestions for restructuring PBS
Can more be done to encourage state affiliates of PBS (in my case, PBS North Carolina) to set up news programs that cover state and international news, to make up for shortcomings in the current national news landscape?
Also, can PBS consider the possibility of restructuring to a model similar to that of German public broadcasting association ARD, with regional broadcasters cooperating to form national programming?
Changing Planet program and numerous similar programs
On so many of your PBS programs, the background music drowns out the speaking. I know there's pride in the background music that is provided, but too often it simply is a little too loud. Many of us older viewers get disgusted when we can hear what's being said and can't keep up with the closed captions. I would rather hear the speaker, and it would be a problem if you music was toned down some. Darrell Berkheimer, Grass Valley, Calif.

New Fed funding
pbs passport to nowhere
I contribute to PBS ... but will shortly call them (and my bank) and stop contributing. Four of us ... have spent probably 7 or 8 hours total ... trying to get 'passport' to work so that I can see shows on the PBS app on my TV .... does not work ... I will certainly tell family members not to 'support' PBS ... and I will discontinue my support.
Who Will CPB Support?
Congress just gave CPB another significant increase in its future federal funding, yet there is no public-facing strategy to ensure any of it will reach BIPOC documentary filmmakers who are eager to work in public media. A lot of people who signed on to support bipocmakers.com and publicmediaforall.com are fighting for a post-Ken Burns world. Where can people go to learn more about CPB's plans for its $50M increase?
donation
Two weeks ago I made a $60 donation to WDTV in Detroit. I received a confirmation but did not receive a code to access PBS Passport, as was promised from a PBS telephone operator. She said I would receive the code the day I made a donation. Since then I have tried to contact WDTV by email and phone five times, asking them to send me a code. No one replied. No code was sent. I have been a contributor for four decades but 'm afraid I have made my last donation. I live in Windsor, Canada, directly across the border to Detroit. - Brian Bannon
A1 Radio
Dear CPB Ombudsman,
As a liberal Democrat and someone committed to minority rights, I am dismayed at my own annoyance with the IMO heavy programming about minority & underclass issues on Jenn White's A1 radio show which I listen to most mornings. While Ms. White is clearly very talented and does an excellent job, the mega dose of minorities injustices --- altho valid --- just gets tiresome. Maybe it's not the topics themselves, rather either their repetitive, downbeat slant or their overlay on stories in other news channels about the generally depressing state of the country/world. I'm emotionally exhausted.
I'd love to hear some positive stories on other critical issues as well such as the environment, economy, student loan debt, health care costs/access, the pandemic, etc. --- especially ones looking at progress being made, not just grievances and problems.
Thank you for considering my opinion.
Respectfully, Anne Blaisdell
Ad Council commercial
Can you please stop running the commercial of the Ad Council which starts, 'Should I get it? Is it safe?' This is sending a terrible message about the Covid vaccination. IT IS SAFE! YES YOU SHOULD GET IT! I understand that you need the money but please stop running this one.
News with Judy woodruff
Omg the woman is terrible, can barely form a sentence
Judy Woodruff
Hello, Why doesn’t Judy Woodruff ever do White House fact checks anymore as she always did in ‘17-‘21.
major media news programs today 03/02/20220 I want the majors to cover the Ukrane and the President not the non news they are ta
I want the major 5 so-called News shows to cover the Ukraine and the President of the US address to America not criticisms of the president This is to important for the So-called news to short circuit the news to the American people. the crap they all shifted to this AM is treason to Democracy!
Swan Lake
Please air Swan Lake in protest of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It was the only program that aired on a loop when the Soviet Union fell. This might be symbolic, but powerful. It could run as a fundraiser for the Ukrainian people.
Fundraising and station content
I am completely disenchanted with PBS based on the amount of fundraising done and on the content of the shows that are used to inflict this nuisance on the public. Many of these shows (health, retirement schemes, rehashes of shows for which I would rather see the show itself, and very biased and one-sided coverage of topics) make me wonder why I still bother to send in a contribution. I am totally done with this and with seeing anything I would like to just "sit down and watch" go to Passport. I wish someone would burn the tapes of Downton Abbey and many of the other series produced in the last 20 years. There have to be great things in the vault, but one would never know. The broadcast material no longer fulfills its need of providing material for an audience with a wide range of interests and the contant whining, carping, and complaining cannot be helping anyone's mental health.
promos for CPB podcasts and for-profit providers
Have I been asleep at the switchor are you increasing the number of fundraisers you incorporate into programming? In any case, I resent it.
I'm a green donor to my local station, WKAR in Lansing pre-empts some of some of my favorite shows, like 60 minutes in favor of ways for you to nag viewers to donate. I'm on a fixed income during a time of high inflation. Now i can't see a 60 minutes episode and for the same reason, you actually interrupt PBS News Hour for the same old, same old tune. I like Finding your Roots, but I don't need a summary of what Henry Louis Gates has already provided and I've seen.
Do you think I have the power to give you some kind of award for providing these documentaries? I don't. And I don't need to hear from Depak Chopra and some guy who does brain research mainly to suck money out of me to buy their products. Maybe it helps you get by,but couldn't you at least be honest about it? Like maybe donations were $100 million to keep reporters all over hte world all the time and donations have fallen to $80 million since COVID, but couldn't you tell us just how bad it is and what you'd have to let go if you don't get the $20 million that you need?
I get it that you can't charge stations like WKAR even more for your programming.
I was listening to NPR before COVID and I've been watching TV more now, but I am NOT willing to go without myself just to watch your programming. There are plenty of podcasts to listen to while I'm doing housework. Please stop this and just let us what your shows.....
WVIK proposed format change
Hello, what is the process for a public radio station to change its format? WVIK 90.3 FM plans to change from its current news and classical music format to all news. (It plans to move classical music to a low power frequency, 105.7 FM which I can't get at my house.) How do I submit a public comment about this proposed format change to object as I have financially support the station for many years? Does the station need permission from the CPB or another entity to make such a drastic change? Are listeners and supporters allowed to have a voice in the decision?
Judy woodruff
Yes. Judy Woodruff should retire. She is well past her prime and there are many broadcast journalists on Newshour who have much better interview skills, can read a teleprompter better and don't wheeze.
The pain of inflation
Why can't the US news outlets follow up their strenuous, fear-making reports of inflation, with the REASON.... NOT BIDEN, NOT CONGRESS BUT OUR TRYING TO DEFEND UKRAINE from loss of its land, homes and freedom by using our money, resources and power.
Are we so selfish that we can't see that?
I wonder how we relatively well-healed Americans would feel if the roles were reversed!!!!!
Our news needs to temper cause and effect, with compassion....without that, we are not as free, selfless and decent as we think we are.
