CPB wants to support and enhance the capacity of public media to create high quality multimedia journalism on important topics in education. Therefore, CPB is seeking grant proposals from national producers working with local stations to create innovative original reporting that highlights the challenges and solutions found in American communities as they provide education in the 21st century. In particular, CPB wishes to support national/local partnerships in the creation of content that aligns with CPB's American Graduate: Let's Make It Happen! initiative, which addresses the high school dropout crisis in our country.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) seeks grant applications from organizations to develop and manage the Diversity in Programming Leadership project. This grant will support a program that will develop a new and diverse generation of public broadcasting Executive Producers and Senior Producers.

CPB seeks to engage a firm or individual ("Contractor") to assist with recruiting qualified candidates for various mid to senior level positions as they become vacant at CPB. Once initiated by CPB, it is important that each recruitment search be started immediately. CPB's goal is to have each of their position vacancies filled with a qualified candidate within 3 to 4 months.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting intends to provide funds for up to fifteen (15) public television stations to develop and implement local projects designed to improve the math and literacy skills of children ages two to eight from low-income communities, as well as their families and educators.

CPB is requesting proposals from public media stations to participate in American Graduate: Let's Make It Happen. This grant program will support additional national and local American Graduate content, expand the number of participating stations to achieve greater geographic diversity and student reach, and promote teacher and parent resources for use in and outside the classroom based on assessments of community-level needs.

CPB seeks proposals from public media organizations to participate in a nationwide grant project that will build on public media's strengths to meet the emerging needs of veterans in local communities. Through this project, stations will work with key partner organizations to recognize veterans' service and share their stories, opportunities, and challenges through national and local content, and increase the number of veterans connecting with local resources to support their successful transition to civilian life. CPB expects to fund up to 12 stations at $25,000 per grant.

Successful applicants will be noncommercial public radio stations that provide significant public service programming to their communities. Stations selected to enter the Community Service Grant (CSG) program during CPB's FY2013 will need to meet all of the criteria outlined in the FY2013 Radio General Provisions and Eligibility Criteria (General Provisions).

CPB is requesting proposals from firms to provide strategic advice to CPB to advance and support CPB's American Graduate initiative. American Graduate: Let's Make it Happen ("American Graduate") is a multi-year public media initiative, supported by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), to assist public media television and radio stations and national public media and paratner organizations in identifying and implementing solutions to address the high school dropout crisis in their local communities, encouraging students to finish high school and reinforcing the importance of education beyond high school. CPB seeks to support the efforts of small groups of news-oriented public radio stations working collaboratively to produce original reporting around important topics, known as "beats" or "content verticals." The two-year grants are intended to support station-based journalism that will increase the range of perspectives heard locally, regionally, and nationally, by adding more points of view from across the country, and expand the conversation on important topics. Each Partnership will need to work closely with national editors at NPR, PRI and APM to contribute original reporting on their chosen "beat" to the national newsmagazine programs.
