Assessment of Planned Interconnection Services

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) seeks the services of a consultant(s) ("Consultant") who possesses expertise in evaluating satellite and fiber interconnection services for television and/or radio networks and the ability to provide a financial, business and engineering analysis of a proposed plan for future delivery of interconnection services to the public broadcasting system. Knowledge of the public broadcasting system is preferred.

Research Study for Station Education Services

CPB seeks to engage a qualified researcher (Contractor) to conduct a study that will include:
  1. a brief (20 questions or fewer) survey of approximately 172 public television stations about their education services (Station Survey), in order to update public media's knowledge and understanding of stations' education services, which were last measured by a station survey conducted in 2007;
  2. case studies investigating how eight stations participating in the American Graduate initiative changed their internal practices or approach as a result of their participation (Case Studies); and
  3. an environmental scan to determine community needs and the services that public media can provide to meet those needs (Environmental Scan).

Facilitation of Television Community Service Grants Review

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) seeks a consultant (Consultant) to facilitate a Community Service Grant program review (CSG Review) to look at possible changes to the television CSG program. The process will include a series of facilitated in-person meetings over a period of approximately 18 months.

National Communications and Marketing Support for the American Graduate: Let’s Make It Happen Initiative

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) is seeking to engage a marketing and communications agency to support the American Graduate: Let's Make It Happen initiative. Consultant to Develop and Implement a Shared Impact Measurement Model for American Graduate: Let's Make It Happen

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting seeks a model for measuring the community impact of the public media initiative, American Graduate: Let's Make It Happen that can provide evidence about the unique service and value public radio and television stations provide to local communities. The successful applicant will: 1) develop and implement an approach for evaluating the impact of American Graduate in addressing the dropout crisis that includes identifying, defining, and measuring short-, mid-, and long-term outcomes, and based on this work 2) build a toolkit that local public media stations can use to measure the impact of future community engagement projects. In consultation with CPB and public media stations, the work of this two-year project involves designing and deploying a community impact measurement model for approximately 30 American Graduate stations' to achieve targeted outcomes.

Public Media Executive Leadership Program

In order to enhance leadership skills of public media station general managers and other senior leaders in public media, CPB is seeking applications for the development, implementation, and management of a Public Media Leadership Program. The program is expected to take place in the summer of 2014, in Washington, D.C.

Request for Recruiting Services

CPB seeks to engage a firm or individual ("Contractor") to assist with recruiting qualified candidates for various mid to senior level positions as they become vacant at CPB. Once initiated by CPB, it is important that each recruitment search be started immediately. CPB's goal is to have each of their position vacancies filled with a qualified candidate within 3 to 4 months.
